Introducing and successfully driving central distribution in Southern Africa and Africa since 1987.

Implementing the largest dry goods grocery building in the southern hemisphere at 114 000 m² in 2010 - this is still the largest distribution centre of this nature in Africa.

Introducing large panel floor design (fibre re-inforced) for distribution facilities in Africa.

Introduction of Sinus and Cosinus floor joints into the African market resulting in more than 50% less floor joint maintenance costs, and 65% less internal vehicle wheel maintenance costs.

Designing and installing the first zero fresh-water crate washer (by recycling waste-water) in Africa.

First Implementation of a miniload crane system that replenishes live case for picking in Africa.

First design and implementation of an Integrated mobile pick to light system on a picking trolley in Africa.

Designing and developing structural racking pedestals in the local African market as a form of racking protection resulting in over 75% less rack maintenance costs.

First globally to Install pallet shuttle (mole) technology above live pallet and push back racking.

First globally to Install pallet shuttle (mole) technology in banana ripening rooms.

First globally to Install pallet shuttle (mole) technology in Africa.

Introducing high frequency chargers with air agitation and battery management systems in Africa to extend the life of MHE batteries, decrease charging-gas emissions, and reduce power consumption costs.

First Implementation of a 6 level battery bull for MHE battery charging in Africa.

Introducing fluorescent lighting, and then LED lighting in distribution centre building design in Africa – saving up to 90% in electricity costs.

First rack supported building in Africa at 34 meters high in 1987.
